PART 1: PRIVACY POLICY
PaloWater is committed to protecting your intimate health data. Our core philosophy is that your body’s data belongs to you, which is why our application is engineered to function without centralized data collection.
Local-Only Processing Architecture
PaloWater serves as a private digital companion for menstrual cycle tracking.
Data Residency: All health-related information you input—including cycle dates, symptoms, moods, and notes—is stored locally on your device.
No Cloud Transmission: We do not maintain servers to "sync" or "backup" your period data. Consequently, your sensitive health narrative is never transmitted to us, nor can it be accessed by our staff or any unauthorized third party.
Biometric Security: We highly recommend using your device’s built-in security features (PIN, FaceID, or Fingerprint) to protect the local PaloWater database.
Interaction with Third-Party Platforms
To ensure the application remains stable and to understand our growth metrics, we utilize a limited number of technical service providers. These services interact solely with technical metadata, not your health records.
Firebase (Google): We use this for real-time crash reporting and performance monitoring to ensure the app runs smoothly.
Attribution & Analytics (e.g., Adjust, AppsFlyer): These platforms help us understand which marketing source led to an app installation. They process pseudonymized technical identifiers, such as your Advertising ID (GAID or IDFA).
Data Boundary: These third parties never receive your cycle history, symptom logs, or any personal health entries.
Legal Basis for Processing
We handle information based on the following legal pillars:
Contractual Necessity: Local processing of your health entries is essential to provide the tracking and prediction services you have requested.
Legitimate Interests: We use technical, pseudonymized data via our partners to maintain the security, stability, and commercial visibility of the app.
Consent: For any optional device permissions (like notifications), we rely on the explicit consent you grant through your system settings.
Your Comprehensive Data Rights
Regardless of your location, PaloWater affords you the following rights over your information:
Right of Access: You have the right to request access to the personal data we process. Since your health data is local, you can access it directly within the app history. For technical telemetry, you may request a report from our DPO.
Right to Rectification: You may demand the correction of any inaccurate or incomplete personal data we hold about you. You can update your health data directly in the app interface at any time.
Right to Deletion: You have the right to request the erasure of your data. Uninstalling PaloWater from your device immediately and permanently destroys the local database of your cycle history.
Right to Know (Sharing & Selling): You have the right to know if your data is shared or sold. PaloWater does not sell your personal or health data to any third party. We only share non-sensitive technical identifiers with the operational partners listed in Section 2.
Right to Lodge a Complaint: You have the right to lodge a formal complaint with a data protection authority or a relevant regulatory body in your jurisdiction if you believe our practices infringe upon your privacy rights.
Choices and Opt-Out Mechanisms
You have total autonomy over how technical data is shared:
Operating System Controls: You can choose to "Opt out of Interest-Based Ads" on Android or "Ask App Not to Track" on iOS within your system settings to block analytics identifiers.
Manual Erasure: You can clear the application’s cache or data via your device settings, which effectively resets all your tracking information.
Data Retention Protocols
Health Records: These remain on your device for as long as the application is installed. We have no way to recover this data if you delete the app.
Technical Metadata: Non-identifiable technical data processed by third-party partners is retained only for the minimum duration required for aggregate trend analysis (typically between 12 and 24 months) before being purged or fully anonymized.

PART 2: END-USER LICENSE AGREEMENT (EULA)
Grant of License
PaloWater grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to use the software on your mobile device for personal, non-commercial menstrual health tracking, subject to the terms of this agreement.
Medical Non-Reliance Disclaimer
PaloWater is NOT a medical device. The predictions and insights provided are based on statistical algorithms and your personal inputs. They should not be used for contraception, to achieve pregnancy, or as a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified physician for reproductive health decisions.
Prohibited Conduct
By using PaloWater, you agree not to:
Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code of the prediction algorithms.
Use the application for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by this agreement.
Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright or trademark notices.
Intellectual Property Rights
The PaloWater name, brand, original content, and proprietary algorithms are the exclusive property of the developer. No ownership rights are transferred to you under this license.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PaloWater and its affiliates shall not be liable for any damages (including health-related issues, data loss, or device failure) resulting from your use of the application. The app is provided "AS IS."
Termination
This agreement is effective until terminated by you (by deleting the app) or by us. We reserve the right to revoke your license immediately if you violate any of the terms outlined in this EULA.
